2025-2026 Tech Fee Information (Grades 6-11)

Lauren Hitchcock

Oxford, Mississippi — Rising 7th-12th grade students will be allowed to keep their school-issued laptop over the summer if their 2025-2026 tech fees are paid by Thursday, May 15 at noon. Students who do not pay the fee by May 15 will turn in their device to their respective school at the end of the school year. Tomorrow on your child’s account, you will see one of the following fees: “25-26 [OMS or OHS] Tech Fee” of $50 or “25-26 Tech Fee Waiver” of $0.

Payment options:

  • MySchoolBucks: You can conveniently pay online using MySchoolBucks.
  • Check: Please make checks payable to Oxford School District. Please pay at your child’s 2025-2026 school building (for example, current 6th graders will pay at OMS, and current 8th graders will pay at OHS).
  • Cash: We also accept cash payments. Please pay at your child’s 2025-2026 school building (for example, current 6th graders will pay at OMS, and current 8th graders will pay at OHS).

Please note that the tech fee is for the 2025-2026 school year. If your child is withdrawing from the Oxford School District, we kindly ask that you return the device at the end of the school year and do not pay this fee. If your child has outstanding tech fees from previous years, those will also need to be paid in full by the May 15 deadline.

Any damage to the device over the summer will be subject to normal fines upon our return to school. The fine structure for damage is as follows:

  • 1st offense: $100
  • 2nd offense: $200
  • 3rd offense: Full cost of the device

Should you have any questions regarding the tech fees, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child’s school.
