Oxford Robotics Teams Earn Top Honors at State Competition

Oxford, Mississippi — Oxford Robotics students recently delivered an exceptional performance at the VEX V5 Robotics State Championship, earning top honors across both high school and middle school divisions—including a tournament champion title.

In the high school division, OHS robotics teams earned multiple state recognitions after months of design, testing, and preparation. The Tournament Champion Award was earned by Team 32636A, comprised of Amr Elgohry, Nathaniel Hom, Jun Jang, and Yoon Jang.

Additional state honors for Oxford High robotics groups include:

  • Tournament Finalist: Team 32636F—Aaron Zhang, Reid Randle, Ali Alqodah, Elijah Yenter
  • Tournament Semifinalist: Team 32636C—William James, Sagan Karthikeyan, Andrew Steimle
  • Sportsmanship Award: Team 32636B—Gabe Cook, Max Milinovich, Jaspar Parsons, and Thomas Ray.

At the middle school level, Oxford Middle School’s team 73538A—composed of Vi Nguyen, Vee Pandya, and Raymond Sang—also competed at the state championship, earning the prestigious Innovate Award over more than 30 middle school teams from across the state.

The Oxford School District congratulates these students and their coaches, whose guidance and support continue to strengthen the robotics program.
